You're part of a special forces team dispatched to a distant island to find a missing billionaire and his family. You are the only survivor after the helicopter crashes. You are imprisoned in "hell on earth." Cannibalistic tribes and weird, mutated monsters from insane underground experiments live on this gorgeous island. Sons of the Forest's plot is scattered over documents, video recordings, and even cave remnants, forcing players to piece together the island's horrible history and creature origins.
Sons of the Forest's survival gameplay requires managing hunger, thirst, rest, and body temperature.
Fully redesigned for maximum realism. Instead of hitting menu buttons, your character will chop down trees, hammer nails, and erect logs. Everything from a small cabin to a fortified shoreline is allowed.
One of the biggest innovations. You're no longer alone, even when playing solo. You'll start with Kelvin, a soldier who became deaf and mute after an accident, and who will carry out your handwritten orders, such as gathering resources, building fires, or chopping trees. Later, you can befriend Virginia, a friendly, three-armed, three-legged mutant woman who can be armed to help you in defensive combat.
