You will encounter familiar childhood icons—such as Finn & Jake, SpongeBob, and Steven Universe—who have been twisted into soulless, frenzied monsters. Your only weapons for survival, rescuing survivors, and fighting back against this corruption are not guns or ammo, but life-or-death rhythm battles.
You control Boyfriend. As the music plays, arrows float upward from the bottom. Your task is to press the corresponding keys exactly when they align with the fixed frames at the top of the screen.
The health bar at the bottom of the screen indicates the match's momentum. Hit notes accurately, and the bar turns green. Miss notes, and your opponent pushes the bar toward red. Depleting your health means being consumed by "The Glitch."
This is a crucial survival mechanic. Interspersed among the standard notes are glitched, static-filled notes. Your task is NOT to press them. Pressing them by mistake causes massive health loss and can trigger extremely annoying visual lag or stuttering effects.
The Pibby mod loves to disorient players with flashing screens and constant visual stuttering. The pro secret is to avoid tracking the notes as they travel up the screen; instead, lock your gaze firmly on the target frames at the top. This helps your brain filter out distracting visual illusions.
