Huntsman is a first-person survival horror game that stands out for its non-linear storytelling. It doesn't rely on jump scares or gore but focuses on psychological exploration, tension, and underlying fear.
You play as a character sent to Grimmvale Orphanage, an abandoned orphanage, to investigate the strange disappearance of 12 children who used to live there. There is no obvious killer. There are no corpses. But the place whispers memories, and something, or someone, remains.
You will not confront weapons, but with understanding, observation, and the courage to listen to the remaining fragments of memories.
There is no combat. You only have a flashlight and a phone as your investigative tools.
Explore the vast environment, collect notes, items, and stories from the "ghosts" of children to piece together the story.
Avoid Huntsman, a mysterious entity that appears out of nowhere, silently stalking and hunting you. You can't kill him; you can only hide or leave the dangerous area.
There is no fixed order. You decide how to approach each part of the story.
Huntsman doesn't force you to follow a rut; you can save all, some, or none.
The ending depends on how you understand, sympathize, and connect with the spirits.
