Grotesqueresque is a short horror game with a surreal style and strange art. Here you are immersed in a twisted, haunting, and confusing world. It does not follow the usual horror path with jump scares or obvious ghosts, but instead uses surreal images.
You play as a lone character, drawn into a strange space filled with distorted images and illogical logic, as if in a nightmare. With no clear instructions and no specific goals, the game forces the player to deduce the meaning of the surroundings, which are often manifestations of the main character's obsessions, suffering, or repressed emotions.
The player will move through strange rooms, observing distorted, deformed images, and interacting with unclear objects or characters.
There is no combat, no clear mission, but the environment will suggest something is deeply “wrong”. It could be a metaphor for mental disorder, guilt, or death.
