Welcome to Side Effects! This is considered a dramatic psychological strategy game. Here, you and another patient are forced to take medicine each round to survive.
Each turn, you will have to choose a pill from a random selection. Each pill has a hidden meaning waiting for you; it can make you stronger, or it can kill you immediately. This is precisely a game of mind and luck because you never know exactly what you are about to swallow.
Each pill affects your "resistance" index. If your resistance drops to 0, you die.
It is not just luck; you need to read the situation, observe your opponent, and calculate your choices to prolong your life each turn.
You are not alone. Another patient is also playing with you, trying to survive longer than you. They will bluff, counterattack, and take advantage of every opportunity to win.
Between rounds, you will be provided with unique support items to support you, such as the Vaccine, which reduces the effects of poison. Mouth Clamp, which blocks opponents from swallowing the medicine. Or Anti-shock, which restores Resistance in critical situations.
Choose items wisely. Because they are the only ray of hope in this game full of randomness and danger.
