An Elmwood Trail is a unique, tense, interactive detective adventure game! You play as a detective investigating the disappearance of Abby Douglas in the peaceful but mysterious suburban town of Elmwood.
Abby Douglas, a high school student, mysteriously disappeared after an afternoon walk in the Elmwood Forest. You, a solo detective, are hired to find out the truth. But as you investigate, you discover more and more suspicious things: friends lie, relatives hide, and an entire town seems to be hiding something terrible. Can you follow the clues and find out what really happened?
The game interface simulates the victim's or someone's phone. You read messages, emails, notes, and photos, and interact with characters via chat to collect clues.
Chat with the suspect, Abby's relatives, and friends. You need to make good verbal choices to gain information or pressure them without making them defensive.
You have to take notes and compare the evidence you collect to piece together and discover the truth.
Some data is encrypted, which requires decoding by logical deduction from the information you have.
