Forget the traditional revolver; Buckshot Roulette throws you into a bloody, high-stakes game of life and death using a 12-gauge shotgun! You face off against a mysterious, faceless dealer within the claustrophobic confines of an underground nightclub.
Bet-or-die decisions at the table drive the gameplay loop. Each round, The Dealer randomly inserts live and blank rounds into the chamber.
Before loading, you know the total count for each round type, but not their sequence.
When it is your turn, you must choose whether to aim the gun at the Dealer or at yourself.
If you aim at yourself and pull the trigger on a blank, you take no damage and are immediately granted an extra turn.
The match ends when either your health bar or The Dealer's is completely depleted.
Starting from the second round, the game provides random item boxes.
Magnifying Glass: Allows you to secretly check the round currently in the chamber.
Hand Saw: Saws off the shotgun barrel; the next shot fired deals double damage.
Beer: Opens a can to safely eject the current round from the chamber without firing.
Handcuffs: Shackles The Dealer, forcing him to skip his next turn.
Cigarettes: Smoke to restore 1 health point.
Praying before pressing the gun will rapidly result in a "Game Over." You’ll need to use probability calculations and item combos to beat The Dealer.
Math is your weapon: Keep an internal count of the remaining rounds. If the gun has three blanks and one live round, your safety margin is 75%. Point the rifle toward your own head with confidence to get an extra spin.
The Ultimate Combo: Don't use items in isolation. A perfect sequence involves: using the Magnifying Glass to identify a live round, using the Hand Saw to double the damage, and then pulling the trigger on The Dealer.
Handcuff Strategy: Handcuffs are most effective when there are plenty of live rounds left in the chamber. You can shoot The Dealer once; since he is handcuffed, the next turn remains yours, allowing you to continue your offensive.
Inventory Management: 8 items max. You cannot get more in the next round if you have a full inventory. Beer can actively spit out smoke or uncertain status rounds. Cigarettes to free up the Magnifying Glass and Hand Saw.
Watch out for the dealer: The game's AI is really smart. It remembers what rounds you ejected with Beer, understands how to utilise Handcuffs to hold you down, and uses the Magnifying Glass to hit you with live rounds. Never let him stockpile too much offensive stuff.
